You can delete your Turnix app account and the related data at any time: in the app, immediately, or by sending us an e-mail. This page, for the iPhone app, explains how, what is deleted and what remains.
1. In the app (immediately)
- Open Turnix and tap the gear icon at the bottom right of the calendar screen: Settings opens.
- Scroll to the bottom and, in the ACCOUNT AND DATA section, tap Delete account.
- In the "Delete account?" window, type DELETE and tap Delete permanently.
- If the window says that you have used "Sign in with Apple" with this account, after Delete permanently Apple asks you to confirm so that Turnix can be disconnected: if you close Apple's request, the deletion is cancelled.
You need an internet connection.
If Apple's request does not go through or Turnix cannot disconnect from Apple, the deletion continues and, once the account has been deleted, the app tells you how to remove Turnix yourself: open Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple, choose Turnix and tap Delete.
The same window also has the Manage or cancel subscription button: deleting the account does not cancel the subscription (see section 4).
2. By e-mail, without the app
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, write to info@turnix.ch from your account's e-mail address and ask us to delete your Turnix account. Within 30 days we reply and delete from the server the data listed in section 3; the data on the phone remain until another account signs in on that phone or you uninstall the app.
If you chose "Hide My Email" with "Sign in with Apple", your account uses Apple's anonymous address. If you still have the app, the quickest and safest way is to delete the account in the app (section 1). Otherwise, write to info@turnix.ch and include that address, which you can see on your iPhone or iPad in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple, and on your Mac in Apple menu → System Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple, by choosing Turnix: within 30 days we write to that address to ask you to confirm, and we delete the account only after you reply to that message.
If you signed in with Apple, once the account has been deleted you can also remove Turnix from the apps you use with "Sign in with Apple": on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then "Sign in with Apple", choose Turnix and tap "Delete".
3. What is deleted
"Delete account" immediately deletes:
- from the server: account, e-mail, names, shifts, events, to-dos, alarms, invitations, notification codes and rewarded invitations; shared invitations are revoked;
- from the phone on which you delete the account: your data, including the health data (which are only on the phone), the cell images and the PDFs in the PDF archive.
Backups: on the plan in use, Supabase does not make automatic backups of the database (it makes them only on paid plans).
4. What remains, and for how long
"Settings → Delete account" immediately deletes the account, e-mail, names, shifts, events, to-dos, alarms, invitations, notification codes and rewarded invitations from the server, deletes the data from the phone and disconnects Google Calendar, asking Google to revoke access: if this request fails, the app does not tell you and the deletion goes ahead. You can check and remove Turnix's access in your Google Account: on the linked apps page (myaccount.google.com/linkedapps), select "Access to your Google Account", then Turnix, "See details" and "Remove access". It does not cancel the subscription, which must be cancelled from your Apple Account, and it does not delete the data held by RevenueCat and Apple.
To cancel the subscription: on iPhone, in the Settings app tap your name, then "Subscriptions", choose the Turnix subscription and tap "Cancel Subscription"; in Turnix, "Settings → Subscription → Manage or cancel subscription" opens the subscriptions page. Until you cancel it, billing continues through Apple.
- RevenueCat: the identifier of your account and the purchase history remain with RevenueCat even after "Delete account"; we have them deleted if you ask at info@turnix.ch. Purchase data held by Apple follows Apple's rules.
- Google Calendar: the events and shifts already written to your Google Calendar stay there even after "Disconnect" or "Delete account".
- Server technical logs, with the IP address: 1 day for Supabase on the plan in use; 30 days for Google Cloud (invitation server).
Reports sent to Sentry are kept for 30 days from receipt: error diagnostics reports and the data integrity check report, which the app sends at most once a day (see sections 2 and 4 of the Privacy Policy for iPhone).
5. Deleting data without deleting the account
"Settings → Reset all data" deletes the contents (shifts, events, to-dos, alarms, shift types, health data, images and PDFs) but keeps the account, e-mail, names, invitations, notification code, the connection to Google Calendar and the activation of Wellbeing, Cycle and Reminders (with the Wellbeing and Cycle consents). Turning off the "Health" switch deletes the sleep, wellbeing and reminder data from the phone; turning off "Cycle tracking" deletes the cycle data.
